Noscrape is a technical online service for obfuscating and providing digital content via API, web and integration interfaces.
2. Scope of Application
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Noscrape website, Noscrape API, user accounts, integrations, open-source components and all related services and features.
The services are intended exclusively for businesses, self-employed professionals, legal entities under public law and special funds under public law. Use by consumers is not intended.
By registering, using the services or subscribing to a paid plan, the user confirms that they are acting in the course of their commercial or independent professional activity.
Noscrape services may be used worldwide provided that such use does not violate applicable laws, regulations or sanctions.
Separate agreements, including enterprise, on-premise or individual agreements, shall prevail over these Terms and Conditions in the event of conflicts.
Additional license terms or open-source licenses may apply to open-source components, SDKs, plugins or integrations.
3. Description of Services
Noscrape is a technical online service for obfuscating digital content through dynamically generated fonts and character substitution.
The services enable the processing of JSON data, individual text values and the provision of obfuscated content for websites, applications and integrations.
Depending on the selected plan, generated font files are either delivered directly as Base64-encoded responses or provided through temporary hosting and CDN services.
Generated font files, temporary assets or CDN resources may be automatically deleted or disabled depending on the respective subscription plan.
Noscrape generally does not permanently store content data transmitted by users. Technical logs may be processed solely for error analysis, stability and platform security purposes. No content analysis of user data is performed.
The integration of obfuscated content into websites, applications or third-party software is the sole responsibility of the user or the respective integrations, SDKs or plugins used.
Noscrape is intended to increase the difficulty of automated data extraction and scraping processes. Complete protection against all extraction, analysis, OCR, AI-based or reverse-engineering techniques cannot be guaranteed.
Effective protection may require regular rotation or regeneration of the generated font files.
Certain features or services may be provided as self-hosted, on-premise, beta, testing or enterprise versions.
Infrastructure and third-party services may be used to provide the services, including hosting, CDN, payment and network providers.
4. Registration and User Accounts
Certain features of the services may require the creation of a user account.
Authentication may be performed using one-time email login codes or similar authentication methods.
Users are required to provide accurate and complete information during registration and use of the services.
The user is responsible for all activities performed through their account or API keys.
API keys, access credentials and authentication information must be kept confidential and protected against unauthorized access by third parties.
In the event of suspected unauthorized access, misuse or compromised credentials, the user must take appropriate measures, including revoking, deleting or rotating affected API keys.
Noscrape may apply technical protection measures, rate limits, access restrictions or security mechanisms depending on the subscription plan or usage behavior.
Free or trial access may be limited, disabled or removed at any time, particularly in cases of abuse, unusual usage patterns or technical requirements.
There is no entitlement to registration, permanent availability of free features or continued access to specific services.
Noscrape may temporarily or permanently restrict or suspend user accounts or API access if there are concrete indications of abusive, unlawful, security-relevant or contract-violating use.
After expiration or cancellation of paid subscriptions, access to certain features may be restricted. Free features may remain available.
5. API Usage
The Noscrape API may only be used within the scope of the provided technical and contractual limitations.
Users may not circumvent, disable or interfere with technical protection measures, access restrictions, rate limits or security mechanisms.
Abusive, excessive or stability-threatening automated usage is prohibited.
In particular, load testing, security analysis, benchmarking, reverse engineering or comparable investigations of the platform are prohibited unless expressly authorized in writing by Noscrape.
The API may not be used for distributing, processing or supporting unlawful content, malware, phishing, spam or attack infrastructures.
Reselling, sublicensing, providing reseller services or integrating the Noscrape API into commercial third-party offerings requires a separate written agreement.
Noscrape may modify technical limits, usage restrictions, access rules or subscription features at any time if required for technical, operational or security-related reasons.
Noscrape may reject requests, restrict access, block IP addresses or suspend API keys if there are concrete indications of abusive or contract-violating use.
API documentation, examples, technical descriptions and integration guides are provided solely for general technical information purposes and do not constitute guaranteed characteristics or warranties.
Noscrape may further develop, modify or discontinue API versions, endpoints, parameters or technical interfaces at any time while reasonably considering legitimate user interests.
6. Availability and Operations
Noscrape strives to provide high service availability but does not guarantee any specific minimum availability unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Separate service-level agreements (SLAs), response times or support commitments may only be agreed upon within individual enterprise or on-premise agreements.
Noscrape may perform maintenance, technical modifications, security measures or infrastructure adjustments at any time.
Services, features, API endpoints, CDN resources, beta features or integrations may be temporarily restricted, disabled or removed where technically, organizationally or security-wise necessary.
Technical limitations, security mechanisms, access restrictions or temporary suspensions may in particular be applied to mitigate abuse, attacks, overload situations or security-related incidents.
The availability and functionality of obfuscated content may be affected by external factors including browser settings, caching, content filters, network issues, CDN failures, font blocking or client-side security mechanisms.
Noscrape does not guarantee that generated font files or delivered content will function flawlessly at all times across all devices, browsers or network configurations.
Self-hosted or on-premise versions are generally operated under the customer’s responsibility. In particular, the customer is responsible for infrastructure, hosting, updates, backups, networking, security measures and overall system operations.
Beta, preview, testing or experimental features may be incomplete, contain errors or be modified, restricted or removed at any time.
Unless explicitly agreed otherwise, support is provided on a best-effort basis and without guaranteed response times.
Noscrape shall not be liable for outages, limitations or delays caused by force majeure, third-party providers, infrastructure failures, network disruptions, DNS issues, CDN failures, hosting outages, cyberattacks or comparable external events.
7. Pricing and Payment
Paid services are provided based on the prices and subscription terms published at the time of purchase.
Unless stated otherwise, all prices are stated in Euro. In accordance with Section 19 of the German VAT Act (UStG), no VAT is charged.
Depending on the selected subscription plan, billing is performed monthly or annually in advance.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the respective agreed term unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
Payment processing may be handled by external payment service providers, in particular Mollie B.V.
Invoices and payment information may be provided electronically, particularly through the user account or dashboard.
Noscrape may reasonably adjust prices, subscription models, service scopes or usage limits for future billing periods.
Changes to existing pricing shall only apply to future renewal periods and will be communicated to the user in advance.
In the event of failed or overdue payments, Noscrape may restrict paid features, downgrade subscription plans or temporarily suspend access.
Payments already made are generally non-refundable unless mandatory statutory provisions require otherwise.
This does not affect the right to grant voluntary goodwill refunds or individual accommodations.
Free plans, trial access or beta offerings may be modified, restricted or discontinued at any time.
Different pricing, billing models or payment terms may apply to enterprise, on-premise or individual agreements.
8. Termination and End of Contract
Paid subscriptions may be cancelled at any time effective at the end of the current subscription term.
Cancellation may be performed through the designated features within the user account or dashboard.
After expiration of paid subscriptions, the user account may automatically be downgraded to a free plan with limited functionality.
API keys or user accounts may remain usable within the scope of free features after termination.
Users may request complete deletion of their user account and related data unless statutory retention obligations require continued storage.
Noscrape may immediately restrict or terminate accounts or access for good cause, particularly in cases of abusive, unlawful, security-relevant or contract-violating use.
Noscrape may delete or deactivate user accounts after extended inactivity, technical necessity or permanent discontinuation of individual services following reasonable prior notice where possible.
Enterprise, on-premise or individual agreements may contain different contract terms, notice periods or termination provisions.
Provisions regarding liability, intellectual property, payment obligations, security measures and applicable law shall survive termination where their nature requires continued effect.
9. Intellectual Property and License Rights
All rights to the Noscrape platform, API, software, algorithms, technical methods, documentation, trademarks, designs and other components remain with Noscrape or the respective rights holders.
Users are granted only a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the services for the duration of the respective contractual relationship and within the scope of the agreed services.
Reselling, sublicensing, redistributing or commercially providing Noscrape technology to third parties is only permitted with the express written consent of Noscrape.
Users may not copy, reproduce, replicate, decompile or otherwise use the platform or substantial technical components beyond the contractually intended use.
Generated font files, assets or technical output data may only be used within the scope of the agreed use.
Certain generated font files may be based on open-source fonts or third-party components. Applicable open-source or third-party licenses remain unaffected.
Open-source components, SDKs, plugins or integrations may be published under separate license terms.
Users retain all rights to the content they submit or process through the services.
For free subscription plans, Noscrape may require that a reasonable attribution notice or link to the Noscrape platform remains visible.
Documentation, examples and integration guides may only be used in connection with the use of Noscrape services.
Enterprise, self-hosted or on-premise versions grant only the contractually defined usage rights. No entitlement to source code disclosure exists unless explicitly agreed in writing.
10. User Content
Users remain solely responsible for all content, data and information processed, transmitted or provided through the Noscrape services.
Users represent and warrant that the processing of submitted content is lawful and does not violate third-party rights, data protection laws, copyright laws or any other applicable legal provisions.
Users are solely responsible for ensuring that they possess the necessary consents, legal bases or other authorizations required for the processing of personal data.
Noscrape does not perform content moderation, review or monitoring of submitted content.
Content is processed exclusively for the purpose of technically providing the agreed services.
Submitted content is neither permanently stored, analyzed nor used for training, profiling or other analytical purposes by Noscrape.
Temporary technical processing or short-term storage in memory, queues or other technically required processes remains unaffected.
Users grant Noscrape the limited, non-exclusive rights necessary for the technical provision of the services for the duration of the contractual relationship.
Noscrape may block, restrict or remove content or access if there are concrete indications of unlawful use, abuse, security risks or violations of these terms.
Using the services to process or distribute malware, malicious code, unlawful content or abusive activities is prohibited.
A separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) may additionally be required for the processing of personal data.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
Information regarding the processing of personal data is provided in Noscrape’s separate Privacy Policy.
Noscrape processes personal data exclusively in accordance with applicable legal requirements, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Depending on the use of the services, registration data, billing information, API credentials, technical usage data and support requests may be processed.
Data processing is carried out solely for the provision, security, billing and technical improvement of the services.
Content submitted by users is generally not permanently stored, analyzed or used for training, profiling or AI training purposes.
Temporary technical processing or short-term storage in memory, temporary processes or technically required queues remains unaffected.
Noscrape may use technically necessary cookies, particularly for login, session, security or language settings.
External payment providers, particularly Mollie, may be used for payment processing.
External CDN or hosting providers may be used to deliver font files or technical assets.
Technical logs and error reports may be stored where necessary to ensure security, stability and error analysis.
Noscrape may in the future use privacy-compliant analytics or statistical services to further improve the services technically and commercially.
Personal data is generally processed within the European Union or the European Economic Area.
Where required, a separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) may additionally be concluded.
Support requests and communication data may be stored for support handling and documentation purposes.
Marketing or informational emails are sent only in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
12. Liability
Noscrape shall be fully liable in cases of intent, gross negligence and damages resulting from injury to life, body or health.
In cases of ordinary negligence, Noscrape shall only be liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations. In such cases, liability is limited to the foreseeable and typical damage.
To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the total fees paid by the user during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Liability for indirect damages, consequential damages, loss of profit, loss of savings, data loss, reputational damage or business interruption is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Noscrape does not guarantee complete or absolute protection against scraping, OCR, automated analysis systems, AI systems or other technical circumvention methods.
The services are intended solely to technically hinder automated data extraction.
Noscrape shall not be liable for misconfigurations, improper implementations or faulty integrations performed by users or third parties.
Noscrape provides no warranty or liability for open-source components, community integrations, plugins, third-party software or external services.
Noscrape does not guarantee any specific availability, accessibility or uninterrupted operation of the services unless explicitly agreed in writing through separate service-level agreements.
Beta, preview, test or experimental features may be incomplete, contain errors or be modified at any time.
Noscrape shall not be liable for outages, delays or damages caused by force majeure or circumstances beyond Noscrape’s reasonable control, including failures of hosting, CDN, network, infrastructure or payment providers.
For self-hosted, Docker, binary or on-premise versions, the customer remains fully responsible for operation, security, updates, backups and infrastructure unless otherwise contractually agreed.
13. Security Measures
Noscrape implements technical and organizational measures to protect the services and processed data.
However, Noscrape does not guarantee absolute protection against security incidents, scraping, automated attacks, circumvention techniques or other technical risks.
Users are responsible for securely storing API keys, credentials and other authentication information and protecting them against unauthorized access.
Compromised credentials or security incidents related to the user account must be reported to Noscrape without undue delay.
Noscrape may temporarily restrict, suspend or otherwise protect API keys, user accounts or access in cases of concrete security risks, suspected abuse or technical attacks.
Technical changes, security updates, patches or short-notice configuration changes may be implemented to maintain security.
Technical security or error logs may be processed where necessary for the detection, analysis or prevention of security incidents.
Noscrape shall not be liable for security incidents, vulnerabilities or damages caused directly or indirectly by third-party software, open-source components, external libraries, frameworks, infrastructure providers or supply-chain attacks unless caused intentionally or through gross negligence by Noscrape.
Security research, penetration testing, load testing or other attack or analysis attempts against Noscrape infrastructure are permitted only with prior written approval.
Noscrape welcomes responsible disclosure of potential security vulnerabilities. Security-related information should be reported confidentially to Noscrape before any public disclosure.
For self-hosted, Docker, binary or on-premise versions, customers remain fully responsible for infrastructure, network security, firewalls, access protection, updates, backups and operational security unless otherwise contractually agreed.
Noscrape reserves the right to temporarily restrict or disable services or features in response to security-related incidents.
14. Changes to Services
Noscrape reserves the right to further develop, modify, restrict or discontinue services, features, APIs, technical characteristics, integrations, subscription components or usage limitations at any time.
Technical changes may be implemented in particular to improve security, stability, performance, scalability or compatibility.
Where reasonably possible, material changes will be announced with appropriate advance notice.
Beta, preview, demo or experimental features may be modified, restricted or removed at any time.
Noscrape may remove or modify features or technical components where required for technical, economic, legal or security-related reasons.
API structures, parameters, response formats or technical interfaces may be versioned or extended in the future.
Changes to existing paid subscription features generally take effect only at the beginning of the next subscription period unless legal or security-related reasons require otherwise.
Users are responsible for maintaining their own integrations and implementations in a reasonably up-to-date state.
15. Changes to These Terms
Noscrape reserves the right to modify these terms with future effect where there is a legitimate reason to do so.
Changes may become necessary in particular due to technical developments, new features, legal requirements, security measures or changes to business models.
Changes will be communicated to users in an appropriate manner, particularly by email or through the user account, with reasonable advance notice.
If the user does not object to the modified terms within the communicated period and continues using the services, the changes shall be deemed accepted.
If changes materially disadvantage the user, the user shall have the right to terminate the contract extraordinarily effective from the date the changes take effect.
Mandatory legal, regulatory or security-related changes may exceptionally be implemented with shorter notice periods or immediate effect.
Individual agreements or enterprise contracts shall prevail over these terms in the event of conflicting provisions.
16. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
Mandatory legal provisions of the country in which the user has their habitual residence or registered office remain unaffected to the extent such provisions are mandatorily applicable.
In the event of discrepancies between different language versions of these terms, the German version shall prevail.
Individual agreements or enterprise contracts shall prevail over these terms in the event of conflicting provisions.
17. Jurisdiction
To the extent permitted by law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be Passau, Germany.
This applies provided that the user is a merchant, entrepreneur, legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law.
18. Severability
If any provision of these terms is or becomes wholly or partially invalid, unenforceable or impracticable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by a legally permissible provision that most closely reflects the economic intent of the original provision.
The same shall apply in the event of contractual gaps.
